​​I’m Anthony Manning, an active community member and former White Rock councillor.
Professionally, I’ve spent four decades in commercial aviation, most of which has been enforcing regulatory compliance. This work has taken me across North America, Asia and Europe. There are many beautiful places around the world, but nothing matches the beauty and spirit of our City by the Sea. As White Rock evolves, let’s ensure our present and future are as legendary as our past.
This election is to fill vacancies for one year until the next municipal election. It’s critical a successful candidate has governance experience, knows how cities work and understands what’s possible to achieve in that short time. I can and will hit the ground running with a proven record of listening and collaborating to make transparent decisions.
I have been very active in our community. including serving on the boards of the White Rock Museum & Archives, Peninsula Productions and Past President of White Rock Rotary. I was previously on the boards of the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce and Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade, where I worked to bring both together and provide better value to Peninsula businesses.
